I was so relieved when I saw Stella again after months of not seeing her. She was dressed in her bright spring colors! There was once day recently when I even saw her TWICE! My dear friend (and fellow Stella enthusiast) has suggested her name is Jenny. IS THIS TRUE!?

Despite several months of almost bi-weekly Stella sightings, she has somehow become invisible to me over the past several weeks. It has been a long while since I’ve seen her, but I’m emotionally stable at the moment.

At first I thought maybe I’d changed my morning routine to miss the bus she got on. So I adjusted several mornings getting up earlier or later hoping to see her. No luck.

Then, I’ll be honest, I got worried. Though I usually spotted her on the bus, I would often also see her around the neighborhood. Not seeing either began to make me worried for our dear Stella.

But fear not. Stella scouts are abound in this neighborhood, and I had two friends send me messages assuring me they’d seen her and she looked well. One friend even sent me a picture first thing in the morning. And yes, she is a wonderful friend.

Knowing Stella is safe somewhere has eased my heart a bit, but I still long to see her in person. Please, if you see her, let me know.

Serious Stella Time

After a brief hiatus from the blog (though not from Stella obsession…), we’re back and badder than ever. Finally, I’ve got some pictures of Stella I can post. I’m sure you’ve seen her. She’s in her springtime clothing mode, so she’s been wearing gorgeous spring dresses and outfits. You can’t miss her.

And, because it was a question up for debate, let it be known that Stella DOES have teeth. They’re small, but mighty. It was a hotly debated question at Stella central, but some of the members of the street team were able to confirm that she has them after all.

Stella has been sporting colorful dresses, pantyhose, and- of course- matching headbands recently. She has even put on cute summer time shoes, which leads me to the conclusion that Stella is all about summer!

Stella in the Springtime!

At first, it seemed like a disappointing day. I got on the #77 both going to and from babysitting…and no Stella.

You can imagine my disappointment.

Just then, as I get off the bus at the Belmont stop, I see her. And man- does she look great.

Granted, I could only catch the back of her because we were headed in opposite directions, but she was wearing an outfit I had never, ever seen on her, so I of course had to stop and stare.

Here’s what I caught from the back: Red flats, white stockings, red and white skirt with greens in it filled with springtime flowers and matching top with a red belt to compliment it. And I believe she had on the same white headband from yesterday but it didn’t matter because it was a perfect choice for the outfit. Did you see her?

Since I was in a bit of a hurry, I didn’t get to follow her and see where she was headed, so I went on my merry way after ogling for a bit. Where was she going? Did you see her?

I feel especially excited about what she was wearing after yesterday’s post where I was worried about seeing the same outfit I had seen before.

I had never seen Stella wear this outfit before. I would have remembered. She was stunning.

Stella sighting!

There she was again. On the #77 headed west. I couldn’t see (I was too far back!) whether or not she had a transit card or a touch card. That’s the big Stella question right now. Do you know?

For all you fashionistas out there, it was a somewhat disappointing day- if seeing Stella can ever be considered disappointing. She was wearing the same black tennis shoes, standards jeans (haven’t gotten a look at the brand yet), and flowery shirt from the last Stella sighting. And- and this is really strange- the same white headband. She also had her CD player on her and her headphones in- making quite the fashion statement with that combined with the headband. Why did she have the same outfit on? How many times does she wear those jeans before she washes them? Do you know?

Her lipstick looked somewhat smudgy today which worried me about how she’s doing overall. She didn’t get to sit down immediately like she normally does when she gets on the bus at Clark because there were too many people. But once we hit the Belmont L stop and a huge group got off the bus, she sat in her normal spot towards the front and held her butterfly cane towards her chest-keeping her tan straw purse secure in her lap. What’s inside that purse? Do you know?

I moved closer- subtly.. don’t want to look like a stalker- to get a better look. That’s when I saw the smudged lipstick. And she looked tired. What was she tired from? Was she up late? What was she doing? Who is she? Do you know?

She once again continued on the bus as I got off my Damen stop. Where does she go? Do you know?

Stella on the bus!

I saw Stella today on the #77 Bus headed west. As usual, she was picked up at Clark and Belmont, and continued on past my stop at Damen. She had on a white headband, flowery spring-appropriate shirt, and her Walkman, though I couldn’t tell what she was listening to. Her purse was across her body and showed off a little boob…that I’m about 99% certain isn’t real. She looked my way a couple times. I shyly looked away.
